I- WORLD TRADE IN MILLING PRODUCTS
In the year 2013, the world milling sector exports increased by 2.8% relative to the previous year to $ 18.6 billion. As of the year 2013, top five exporters of milling products were Germany, France, Thailand, Belgium and Turkey. Among 183 countries, Turkey ranked 5th with approximately 6% share among the top exporters of milling products.

In the same year, total milling products imports worldwide rose by 4.3% to $ 19.7 billion. Top importers of milling products were the USA, Netherlands, China, Belgium and Brazil. Among 221 countries, Turkey ranked 48th with 0.47% share among the top importers of milling products.
