THAIFEX-World of Food Asia 2017 Fair held in Bangkok, Thailand from May 31 to June 4, 2017 and held this year in its 13th year, has been held in China, Cambodia, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia , The Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, and more than 45,000 visitors from over 30 countries participated in the food industry.
Central Anatolia Cereal, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters Association realized the national participation organization with 35 companies, which is the most important fair in Southeast Asia.
On the first day of the fair, Thai Prime Minister Somkid JATUSRİPİTAK and Trade Minister Apiradi TANTRAPORN and Bangkok Ambassador of Turkey Evren Dağdelen AKGÜN and Trade Counselor Mr. Burak BALKAN visited Turkish pavilion.
On the second day of the fair, June 1, 2017, bilateral business talks were held with the participation of Turkish and Thai companies in cooperation of Bangkok Chamber of Commerce and Central Anatolian Exporters Associations (OAİB).
On the second day of the fair, a reception was held at the embassy residence at the exhibition by the Turkish Ambassador of Bangkok Mr. Evren Dağdelen AKGÜN. Central Anatolian Grains, Legumes, Oilseeds and Products Exporters Union Board of Directors, General Secretariat staff and representatives of other companies participating in exhibition from Turkey were present at the reception.
On 2 June 2017, our Association gave an evening meal in honor of the exhibitors. On the last day of the fair, a purchase program for Turkish companies was organized and it was made possible for our companies to talk to Thai companies and introduce their products.
During the fair, a catalog introducing the industry was distributed to visitors visiting the info stand of our association with an English food book containing recipes of sweet and salty bakery products. At the same time, a kitchen apron and bag were presented during the fair.
Sand performer Veysel Çelikdemir's flour and sand show got great interest in the show. We also have cookies, börek, poğaça, etc. served by Chief Chef Emin Aydemir at the stand of our Association. Bakery products were prepared and presented to the visitors and the show was done.
In addition to the info stand of our association, the "Turkey-Discover the Potential" stand was established and promotional activities were carried out.
