The pandemic that affect the
whole world have given us the opportunity to carry out relatively more
cost-effective but equally effective promotional activities thanks to the
digital world. Vietnam, which is 7.500 km away from us, has a population of
approximately 95 million and 3.610 USD GDP per capita, is a country dependent
on imported food products except for limited products such as rice, coffee,
banana, sugar cane and soybeans. This virtual STD, which has been realized that
there are always possible buyers for countries that produce reliable and
quality food like us, will undoubtedly contribute to our exports in the future.
The virtual STD started with the
opening speeches of our Chairman Mr. Nihat Uysallı, TIM Chairman Mr. İsmail
Gülle and T.C. Hanoi Ambassador Haldun Tekneci on April 26, 2021 at 11:00 Turkish
time, then; Hanoi Commercial Counselor Burak Cihan Ürkmez made a presentation
about Vietnam and the sector to the participants.
10 Turkish companies participated
in the delegation and a total of 102 meetings were held; including 19 on April
26, 32 on April 27, 28 on April 28, and 23 on April 29. Average number of
interviews per firm was 10. 45 buyer companies participated by Vietnam within
the scope of the delegation.
During the B2B meetings,
Vietnamese companies were closely interested in the products of Turkish
companies and stated that they would continue to meet with Turkish companies.
