As the Central Anatolian
Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, we proudly took
part in Southeast Asia’s largest food fair — THAIFEX–Anuga Asia — for the 10th
time, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from May 27 to 31, 2025. Through our National
Participation organization, we brought together 58 Turkish companies with
international buyers, fostering strong commercial connections and showcasing
the strength of our agri-food sector. This year’s fair was held
over 130,000 square meters across 11 halls, with participation from around
3,850 companies representing 52 countries, including Türkiye, China, Brazil,
Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Spain, and Vietnam. The
event welcomed 85,850 visitors from 130 different countries. We were honored to be
joined by Mr. Halis Kaya, Head of the Agriculture Department at the Ministry of
Trade’s Directorate General of Exports; our Union's Chairman Mr. Nihat Uysallı;
Vice Chairman Mr. Abdullah Kara; Board Members Mr. Adnan Hekimoğlu, Mr. Fatih
Doğan, and Mr. Fatih Tatlısumak; General Secretary Mr. Musa Demir; Sector 1
Branch Director Ms. Ayfer Koca; Promotion and Organization Branch Director Ms.
Ebru Atamer; Sector Specialist Ms. Seda Şahaner; and Promotion Specialist Ms.
Başak Hatice Gökçeoğlu. Our Trade Counsellor in Bangkok, Mr. İsmail Hakkı
Görücü, also honored us with a visit to our stand. The fair featured live
sand art performances and hourly cooking shows hosted by our Tasting Event
team, where traditional Turkish dishes were prepared and served to visitors.
These events drew significant attention and provided a platform for Turkish companies
to engage directly with potential buyers. Our Board Members also visited each
participating company to exchange ideas and gather feedback. With its wide range of
exhibitors and vibrant atmosphere, the fair turned into a true visual and
culinary feast. Products were displayed across 11 categories including food and
beverages, tea and coffee, food service equipment, food technologies, frozen products,
fruits and vegetables, seafood, meat, rice, and confectionery. Turkish
exhibitors showcased an impressive selection of goods such as pasta, flour,
legumes, sunflower oil, vegetable oils, and sweets. The Far Eastern market’s
strong interest in traditional and quality foods was clearly evident, with
visitors expressing admiration for both the taste and high standards of Turkish
products. The tasting events held
at our booth offered guests a unique experience of Turkish cuisine and created
an impactful opportunity for cultural exchange. Our chefs played a major role
in promoting Turkish gastronomy by blending authentic Anatolian recipes with
contemporary presentation techniques. As the Central Anatolian
Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, we will
continue building on the insights gained at the fair to develop forward-looking
strategies and guide our regional exporters. Inspired by our success in Thailand,
we are committed to expanding our global reach in other key markets as well. We extend our sincere
thanks to all participating companies for their valuable contributions and
express our heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Trade for their
continuous support.
