The Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association successfully organized its 11th National Participation at THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026, held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 26 to 30 May 2026. Within the scope of the national participation organization, 33 Turkish companies were brought together with international buyers.
THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026, recognized as the largest food and beverage trade fair in Southeast Asia, was held across more than 140,000 square meters of exhibition space and 12 halls. The fair hosted approximately 3,590 exhibiting companies from 56 countries, including Türkiye, China, Brazil, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Spain, Vietnam, and the United States. A total of 94,684 visitors from 148 countries attended the event.
Representing our Association at the fair were Mr. Abdullah KARA, Vice Chairman of the Board; Dr. Fatih YUMUŞ, Deputy Secretary General; Ms. Ayfer KOCA, Sector1 Branch Manager; Ms. Ayşenur AYDEMİR and Ms. Seda ŞAHANER, Sector Branch Specialists; and Ms. Başak Hatice GÖKÇEOĞLU and Mr. Adnan GÖL, Specialists from the Fairs and Organization Department. We were honored by the visits of Ms. Jülide KAYIHAN, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Bangkok, and Mr. İsmail Hakkı GÖRÜCÜ, Commercial Counsellor.
Throughout the fair, visitors were offered a variety of traditional Turkish delicacies prepared during tasting activities held at our stand. Culinary presentations were organized in two separate locations within the exhibition grounds. In Hall 7, traditional Turkish dishes prepared using products within our Association’s scope of activity were reinterpreted with contemporary presentations. Selected adaptations appealing to local tastes were also incorporated, creating a culinary bridge between Turkish and Thai gastronomic cultures.
In Hall 2, traditional Turkish desserts took center stage. Freshly prepared lokma and helva were served to visitors, while the preparation and presentation of cotton candy and traditional Ottoman macun attracted significant attention and created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the exhibition area.
The tasting activities contributed to promoting the richness of Turkish cuisine to an international audience. The chefs participating in the event successfully combined Anatolia’s deep-rooted culinary heritage with modern presentation techniques. Visitors who sampled the dishes had the opportunity to gain insight into the diversity of Turkish cuisine and its rich gastronomic culture.
During the fair, participating companies within the National Participation Organization were visited, and meetings were held with sector representatives. Discussions focused on current industry developments, regional market dynamics, and potential areas of cooperation. In addition, as the exhibition coincided with the Eid al-Adha holiday period, a holiday gathering was organized with our participating companies.
As one of the leading meeting points for the global food industry, the fair showcased a broad range of product categories, including food and beverages, tea and coffee, food service equipment, food technologies, frozen foods, fruits and vegetables, seafood, meat products, and confectionery. Featuring products across 11 different categories, the exhibition offered a dynamic and engaging environment for both exhibitors and visitors.
Turkish companies participating in the fair presented a wide range of products to international buyers, including pasta, flour, pulses, sunflower oil, vegetable oils, and confectionery products. The strong interest shown by Far Eastern markets in traditional and high-quality food products was clearly reflected in the significant attention received at Turkish exhibitors’ stands. Visitors had the opportunity to observe first-hand the strong position of Turkish products in international markets in terms of quality, reliability, and taste.
As the Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oil Seeds and Products Exporters’ Association, we believe that the contacts established during THAIFEX – Anuga Asia 2026 will contribute to our exporters’ access to new markets and strengthen their international business networks. Our Association will continue its efforts to enhance the competitiveness of regional exporters in global markets.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all participating companies and stakeholders whose valuable contributions ensured the successful organization of this event.
