Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association Conducts Key Official Contacts in South Korea Under UR-GE Project!
The Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association conducted an observation and study visit to the Seoul Food & Hotel 2026 Exhibition, held in Goyang, South Korea, between June 9 and 12, 2026. The exhibition stands as one of the most prestigious gathering points in the Asian food market.
Organized under the scope of the UR-GE (Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness) project titled “Improving the Exports of Companies Resident in Çorum Province,” which is successfully carried out by our Association, 12 company representatives representing 8 project member firms participated in the sectoral event to observe the fair and strengthen the position of our sector in the international market.
Throughout the exhibition, activities were carried out to enable our project member companies to closely examine regional dynamics and observe global food trends. Our participating companies had the opportunity to analyze on-site the Far East market’s demand, particularly for high-quality and sustainable food products.
On the second day of the exhibition program, official contacts were established as part of efforts aimed at global trade strategies and increasing our market share in the region. A highly productive meeting was held during an official visit to Mrs. Özlem ÜNTEZ, the Chief Commercial Counsellor of the Republic of Türkiye in Seoul, at her office, regarding our sector, products within our field of activity, and our export operations. During the meeting with Mrs. Özlem ÜNTEZ, potential opportunities in the South Korean market and the position of Turkish exporters in the region were evaluated.
Following the observation activities at the Seoul Food & Hotel 2026 Exhibition, field visits were organized to South Korea’s leading supermarket chains and food wholesalers to strengthen our participating companies’ ties with the market. This provided a valuable opportunity to analyze on-site the retail shelf potential of Turkish food products and local consumer habits.
As one of the most critical pillars of the field program, a high-level strategic meeting was held between KOIMA (Korea Importers Association) and our delegation, led by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Avşin KAŞIKCI. Pivotal consultations were conducted aimed at developing Turkish-Korean commercial relations, increasing the bilateral food trade volume, and ensuring a more effective presence of Turkish products in the South Korean market.
As part of the observation activities, Mr. Avşin KAŞIKCI, Chairman of our Board of Directors, also visited the Turkish companies that proudly represented our country and sector as exhibitors with their booths at the Seoul Food & Hotel 2026 Exhibition.
As the Central Anatolian Cereals, Pulses, Oilseeds and Products Exporters' Association, it is highly evaluated that the observation activities at Seoul Food & Hotel 2026 and the subsequent high-level official contacts will greatly contribute to the presence of our exporters in the Far Eastern market. In line with our strictly export-oriented vision, we will resolutely continue our activities to introduce the quality, reliability, and fertile flavors of Anatolia to global markets, and to enhance the global competitiveness of our regional exporters.
